I started writing these guides because I couldn't find the version I needed. Every "moving abroad" post online was either a government summary or a sponsored brochure. None of it sounded like the friend you'd actually want to call before booking a one-way ticket.

So I made the trip, took the notes, made the mistakes, and wrote it all down. The guides are the version I wish I'd had. The Best Buys section is everything I actually use along the way: no affiliate dumps, no padding, just the stuff that you'll be grateful to have in your bag.

I'm still travelling, still writing, still figuring out which corner of the world to point at next. If you want the trip to be better than mine, that's what this site is for.
